Psalm 77:12New International Version (NIV)

”I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”

In order to answer this question we must understand the meaning of the word MEDITATE; according to the Real Academy Dictionary Meditate is think about anything with reflection , atention and put in practice.

Perhaps very few Christians have been taught how mportant it is to pay close attention to what they think about.

We have all heard the expression, “ you are what you eat” , but is also true to say “ you are what you think”

Can we meditate what else?

The God`s word said:

Jeremiah 17:9 New International Version (NIV)“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”

Consider the following questions:

Are you critical of others?
Do you mope because you do not receive the praise you feel you deserve?
Do you worrying about your condition?
How much time do you spend thinking about the TV show watched last night?
Do you re-live the bad things people do to you?
Do you list out all your misfortunes?
Do you think about bad things happening to the people you are angry with?
Do you think about bad things happening to yourself?
Do you rejoice in the misfortunes of others?
Do you dwell on lustful and impure thoughts?
Definitely your true you, is shown by what you do and by what you think in your heart; In what you meditate.

Within the hearts of men there are harmful thoughts

Mark 7: 21-22 New International Version (NIV)

21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

The meditation that we recommended the Scriptures makes us better people and gives us wisdom and control in different situations . Proverbs 16:23 says: “A mind knew come wise words; the words of the wise are compelling.”

This meditation makes a life happy and rewarding.

Psalm 1:2-3 “But who delight in the law of the Lord meditating on it day and night.

3 Are Like Trees planted on the banks of a river, which always bear fruit in His time.

Its leaves never wither, and prosper in all you do.”

Thoughts are like a fire that must be controlled otherwise improper ideas may arise that feed evil desire, and this leads us to sin.

James 1:14-15 “14 The temptation comes from our own desires, which seduce us and draw us. 15 Of those desires are born sinful acts, and the sin, when it is allowed to grow, gives birth to death.”

That’s why the Word of the eternal leads us to meditate on things truly fair, decent, kind, pure .

Philippians 4:8-9 8 And now, dear brothers, one more thing to finish. Focus on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is beautiful and everything wonderful. Think of things excellent and worthy of praise. ”

If our mind is full of this kind of thoughts, we will have beautiful qualities, a way to speak kind and good relationships with others.

Colossians 4:6 “6 that your conversations are cordial and pleasant,[a] so that you have the right answer for each person.”

Beware of what you see, of what you hear because this can pollute your mind and take you to the destruction; on the contrary, read, reflect, memorizing put into practice the word of God that will bring reward and salvation to your soul.
